Molydag® 254 * RoHS Compliant *

Molydag® 254 is a resin-bonded lubricant coating designed to provide dry film lubrication for a variety of industrial, consumer and military applications. It is a blended combination of Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and other lubricants dispersed in an epoxy resin solution which provides life-time lubrication and corrosion resistance. The coating is grey in colour.

Molydag® 254 is particularly effective for components that are inaccessible after assembly, but must continue to function reliably. It can also provide excellent performance at very thin (0.0003" or 8 Microns) coating thicknesses for parts that have tight tolerances.

Typical Applications for Molydag® 254
  • Construction Equipment
  • Business Machines
  • Jet Engine Parts
  • Woodworking Equipment
  • Mining Equipment
  • Safety Equipment
  • Cold-Heading Machinery
  • Threaded Connections

  • High Tension Nuts and Bolts

Emralon® 305

Emralon® 305 is one of a series of Acheson resin-bonded fluoropolymer coatings formulated to provide dry film lubrication and a high degree of corrosion and chip resistance. The coating is a black high gloss.

Emralon® 305 is specifically designed to replace cadmium plating as a coating on ferrous fasteners. When applied by dip-spin techniques to a coating thickness of 0.0005 inch over pretreated threaded fasteners, Emralon® 305 provides more than 700 hours of salt spray resistance (ASTM B117), exceeding the requirements outlined in GM-6046M. Due to its improved chip resistance, Emralon® 305 maintains its corrosion resistance even after long distance bulk shipment.

Typical Applications for Emralon® 305
  • Threaded and non-threaded fasteners
  • Brackets
  • Meshers
  • Paper Cutters
  • Drill Bits
  • Other surfaces that need corrosion and chip resistance

Emralon® 329 * RoHS Compliant *

Emralon® 329 is a fast-drying, resin bonded, fluorocarbon dry film lubricant capable of coating wood, metal, rubber, plastic, and glass substrates. It is designed for low-friction, light-load, repetitive stresses. Moving parts wear longer, work harder, and need less maintenance when coated with this product. Emralon® 329 cures at room temperature, allowing application where conventional sintered PTFE coatings cannot be considered. The coefficient of friction (static), when the coating is properly applied, ranges from 0.06 to 0.09. A coating thickness of 0.0002 to 0.0007 inches (0.0051 to 0.0178 millimeters) generally provides the optimum low friction properties.

Emralon® 329 is liquid concentrate that can be diluted according to need. Although Emralon® products are not specifically designed as protective coatings, they do offer moderate resistance to chemicals. Coating is opaque.

Typical Applications for Emralon® 329
  • Moving parts (wood, metal, fabric, plastic, rubber)
  • Sealed systems
  • Solenoid plungers
  • Piano action parts
  • Window guides
  • Moving furniture parts
  • Storage bins
  • Tools
