Clear Coat

Clear Coat refers to a clear (non-pigmented) top coat that is applied to metal, plastic, or other materials. It produces a hard, clear coating that will increase durability and resistance to harmful environmental effects. It can also increase the glossy appearance of the surface of the item.

Clear Coats are available in Epoxy, Urethane, Acrylic and several other formulations. Traditionally, these coatings were produced by dissolving a binder, which forms the coatings, into a solvent-base. With the increased demand for environmentally friendlier products, water-based Clear Coats are now available.
